CAN ISO 9001 HELP DEAL WITH THE PROBLEMS OF HEALTH CARE FACILITIES?

The well-known financing problems of health care facilities influence not only the quality of patient care. They also burden colleagues and strain supplier relationships. Quality management systems in facilities may be adapted to promote cost-effectiveness and improving quality - says Zsuzsanna Kohl, quality system developer at FrameWork Hungary Kft. - Rationalization of the documentation system must be accompanied by the implementation of measuring and tracking criteria that efficiently support the adaptation of operational and patient care processes to the problems of the market. A mature and well-established quality management system must have results in patient care organizations as well, since rationalization, the study of the processes and the reduction of quality-related loss bring results within reach.
